Indications

Pharmacology

  • bactericidal
  • second generation cephalosporin antibiotic
  • activity against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative susceptible organisms

Dosage & Administration

Interaction

  • increased serum concentration with probenecid
  • reduced bioavailability with gastric acidity reducing drugs

Contraindications

  • allergy to cephalosporin
  • pseudomembranous colitis
