Absorption
About 40-50% whether administered with or without food
Dose for Adults
200-400 mg daily
Dose for Children
8 mg/kg/day
Dose for Typhoid in Children
5 mg/kg body weight twice daily for 10-14 days

Adjusted based on creatinine clearance
Interaction
May increase prothrombin times in some patients
