Mode of Action
- Interference in Bacterial Cell Wall Synthesis
- Bactericidal against a Broad Spectrum of Bacteria
Absorption
- 40% to 50% absorption with or without food
Recommended Dosage
- 200-400 mg daily for adults
- 8 mg/kg/day for children
- 5 mg/kg body weight twice daily for typhoid
- Dosage adjustment in renal impairment
Drug Interaction
- Increases in Prothrombin Times in Some Patients

- Hypersensitivity to Cephalosporin Antibiotics
