200-400 mg daily

Pediatric Dosage Guideline

  • 5 mg/kg/day
  • Suggested daily volume of suspension for different age groups

Dosage in Typhoid

5 mg/kg body weight twice daily for 10-14 days

Renal Impairment Dosage

  • 200 mg once daily for creatinine clearance < 20 ml/min
  • Normal dose for creatinine clearance ≥ 20 ml/min

Interaction with Anticoagulant Therapy

May increase prothrombin times
