Description
- Orally active cephalosporin antibiotic
- Third generation semisynthetic cephalosporin antibiotic for oral administration
- Highly stable in the presence of Beta-lactamase enzyme
- Recommended for the treatment of acute infections caused by susceptible microorganisms
DosageAndAdministration
- Usual course of treatment is 7 days, may be continued for up to 14 days if required
- Adult dosage is 200-400 mg daily, may be given as a single dose or in two divided doses
- Dosage for children varies based on age and weight
- Absorption is not significantly modified by the presence of food

- Treatment of Upper Respiratory Tract Infections (URTI)
- Treatment of Lower Respiratory Tract Infections
- Treatment of Urinary Tract Infections
