Usual course of treatment is 7 days
May be continued for up to 14 days if required
Adult dosage: 200-400 mg daily, as a single dose or in two divided doses
Recommended pediatric dosage: 8 mg/kg/day
Dosage in renal impairment: Adjusted based on creatinine clearance
