Pharmacology

Oral 3rd generation cephalosporin
Stability to beta lactamases
Activity against Gram negative bacteria
Activity against Gram positive bacteria

Approximately 29-33% excreted unchanged in urine

Various dosages for different infections in adults and adolescents

Interaction

Concomitant administration with antacids

Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms
