Dosage
- Usual Adult Dosage: 1 gram every 8-12 hours
- Dosage determined by susceptibility, severity of infection, and renal function
- Dosage depends on severity, sensitivity, type of infections, age, weight, and renal function
- Dosage range for adults: 1 to 6 gm per day
- Dosage range for children: 30 to 100 mg/kg/day

- Intravenous or deep IM injection
- Reconstitution with Sterile Water for Injection
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Ceftazidime or cephalosporin antibiotics

- Dosage reduction in impaired renal function
- Usage in peritoneal dialysis and continuous ambulatory peritoneal dialysis
- No dosage adjustment for patients with hepatic dysfunction
