Indications

- Broad-spectrum parenteral cephalosporin antibiotic

Dosage
- Usual dose for adults: 1-2 gm by IV or IM once a day
- Dosage for various infections and conditions
- Maximum dose for adults: 4 gm/day
- Usual dose for infants and children: 50-75 mg/kg IV or IM once a day
- Maximum dose for infants and children: 2 gm/day
- Duration of therapy: 4-14 days
