Description
- This medicine is indicated for patients with essential hypertension, patients with angina pectoris and hypertension as co-existing diseases, post myocardial infarction patients, and patients with refractory angina pectoris where nitrate therapy has failed. It is a fixed-dose combination of Amlodipine and Atenolol, known for its peripheral vasodilator and cardioselective beta-blocker effects. The recommended dosage is 5/25 mg tablet once daily, which may be increased as advised by physicians. It has interactions with drugs like Disopyramide, Ampicillin, oral antidiabetics, and insulin. Contraindications include hypersensitivity to either component, sinus bradycardia, heart block, cardiogenic shock, hypotension, congestive heart failure, and poor left ventricular function. Overall, it is well tolerated and has side effects such as fatigue, headache, edema, nausea, drowsiness, anxiety, and depression.

Dosage and administration
