Pharmacology
- Active against Staphylococcus aureus
- Interferes with initiation complex
- Inhibits protein synthesis
- May be absorbed following topical application
Dosage & Administration
- 1-2 drops instilled in affected eye up to 6 times a day
- 2-3 drops instilled in affected ear every 3-4 times a day
- Severe infections may require more frequent instillation

- None reported with topical and Eye/Ear drops
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in individuals with sensitivity to components
- May allow overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms
