Dosage
- For adults and children
- 500 mg once daily orally for 3 days
- 500 mg on day 1, then 250 mg on days 2-5
- 1 gm single dose for adults with Chlamydia trachomatis
- 10 mg/kg body weight for children
- Oral and IV administration
- Duration for pelvic inflammatory disease
- Single daily intravenous dose for community-acquired pneumonia
- Biliary excretion as major route
Administration
- Reconstitution procedure for suspension
- Shake well before use
