- Oral administration

Dosage
- Adult oral dosage: 500mg once daily for 3 days
- Adult IV dosage: 500mg single daily dose for at least two days
- Pediatric dosages based on body weight
Administration
- Reconstitution of suspension
- Preferably taken 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal
Interaction
- Interaction with antacids
- Cyclosporine metabolism interference
- Effect on digoxin metabolism
- Potential ergotism with ergot derivatives
- Methylprednisolone pharmacokinetic interaction
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Azithromycin or macrolide antibiotics
