Dosage

  • 500 mg once daily orally for adults
  • 500 mg once on day 1, then 250 mg once on days 2-5 for adults
  • 1 gm single dose for Chlamydia trachomatis in adults
  • 500 mg once on day 1, followed by 250 mg once daily for next 2 days for Chlamydia trachomatis in adults
  • 10 mg/kg body weight once daily for children over 6 months
  • 200 mg for 3 days for children 15-25 kg body weight
  • 300 mg for 3 days for children 26-35 kg body weight
  • 400 mg for 3 days for children 36-45 kg body weight
  • 500 mg once daily for 7-10 days in typhoid fever

Administration

  • Reconstitution of suspension
  • Shaking the bottle well
  • Adding boiled and cooled water
  • Shaking until powder is completely mixed with water
  • Taking at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meal
