Dosage

  • Oral:
    • 500 mg once daily for 3 days
    • 500 mg once on day 1, then 250 mg once on days 2-5 for 4 days
  • Children:
    • Different doses based on body weight
    • Flexible dosing for typhoid fever
  • Azithromycin Injection (For IV Infusion only):
    • Recommended doses for different conditions
    • Safety and effectiveness not established for children

Administration

  • Suspension reconstitution procedure
  • Shake the bottle well
  • Add water and shake until mixed
  • Take at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meal
