Dosage
- Oral:
- 500 mg once daily for 3 days
- 500 mg once on day 1, then 250 mg once on days 2-5 for 4 days
- Children:
- Different doses based on body weight
- Flexible dosing for typhoid fever
- Azithromycin Injection (For IV Infusion only):
- Recommended doses for different conditions
- Safety and effectiveness not established for children
Administration
- Suspension reconstitution procedure
- Shake the bottle well
- Add water and shake until mixed
- Take at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meal
