Pharmacology

Dosage

  • 500 mg once daily orally for 3 days for adults
  • 10 mg/kg body weight once daily for 3 days for children
  • 500 mg as a single daily dose by the intravenous route for adult patients with community-acquired pneumonia
  • 500 mg once daily by the intravenous route for adult patients with pelvic inflammatory disease

Administration

  • Oral administration
  • Reconstitution procedure for suspension
  • Should be taken at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after meal
