DosageInstructions
- Take Clindamycin Capsule with a full glass of water to avoid oesophageal irritation
- Dosage range for serious infections: 150 mg-300 mg every six hours
- Dosage range for more severe infections: 300 mg-450 mg every six hours
- Pediatric dosage for oral solution: 8-25 mg/kg/day divided into 3 or 4 equal doses
- Dosage for IV/IM Injection: 600-4800 mg/day in 2-4 equal doses for adults
Interaction
- Clinacyn may enhance the action of neuromuscular blocking agents
- Antagonism between Clinacyn and erythromycin has been demonstrated
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients previously found to be sensitive to clindamycin or any of the ingredients

- Overdosage with orally administered Clinacyn has been rare
- Haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis are not effective in removing Clinacyn from the serum
