Contraindications

  • Glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency

Side Effects

  • Rare side effects like crystalluria and haemolysis
  • Less serious side effects like malaise and headache

  • Excretion in breast milk
  • Risk of kernicterus

  • Risk of macrocytic anaemia
