Indications

Pharmacology

  • Broad spectrum bactericidal activity
  • Antibiotic combination of Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid

Dosage

  • Adult dosage for different infections
  • Children dosage by age and weight
  • Recommended daily dosage for mild to moderate infections

Administration

  • Oral dosage form administration

  • Enhanced absorption when taken at the start of a meal

Interaction

  • Prolongation of bleeding time
  • Reduction of oral contraceptive efficacy
  • Concomitant use with allopurinol

Contraindications

  • History of Penicillin hypersensitivity
  • Cross-sensitivity with other beta-lactam antibiotics
  • Previous history of Co-amoxiclav or Penicillin-associated cholestatic jaundice
