Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to trimethoprim or sulphonamides
Megaloblastic anaemia due to folate deficiency
Marked liver parenchymal damage
Blood dyscrasia
Severe renal insufficiency
Glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
