Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to trimethoprim or sulphonamides
  • Megaloblastic anaemia due to folate deficiency
  • Liver parenchymal damage
  • Blood dyscrasia
  • Severe renal insufficiency
  • Glucose 6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency
