Composition

  • Ciprofloxacin Hydrochloride BP equivalent to Ciprofloxacin 3 mg
  • Benzalkonium Chloride 0.06 mg

Interaction

  • Elevation of plasma concentrations of theophylline
  • Interference with caffeine metabolism

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to Ciprofloxacin
  • Hypersensitivity to quinolones
  • Hypersensitivity to Nalidixic acid

Side Effects

  • Presence of white crystalline precipitates
  • Lid margin crusting
  • Foreign body sensation
  • Conjunctival hyperemia

Pregnancy & Lactation

  • Use during pregnancy if benefit justifies risk to fetus
  • Inadequate studies in pregnant women

Precautions & Warnings

  • Potential for overgrowth of non-susceptible organisms
  • Discontinue in case of super-infection
  • Discontinue at first appearance of skin rash
