Description

• Beuflox 500mg Tablet is indicated for the treatment of single infections or mixed infections caused by two or more susceptible organisms. It is a synthetic quinolone anti-infective agent with broad spectrum of activity against most gram negative and some gram positive aerobic bacteria, and is active against Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The therapeutic class of Beuflox is 4-Quinolone preparations and Anti-diarrheal Antimicrobial drugs.

• Treats single or mixed infections caused by susceptible organisms

Dosage Range

• 100-750 mg twice daily for adults
• 250-500 mg twice daily for urinary tract infections
• 250-500 mg twice daily for respiratory tract infections
• Single dose of 250 or 500 mg for gonorrhea
• 750 mg twice daily for cystic fibrosis

Age Group

• Adults
• Elderly
• Adolescents and children (with caution due to potential risk of arthropathy in immature animals)

Dosage Duration

• 5 to 10 days for acute infections
• Three days after symptoms disappear for most infections
