Description
- D-Floxin is indicated for the treatment of single infection or mixed infections caused by two or more susceptible organisms.

Pharmacology
- Ciprofloxacin is a synthetic quinolone anti-infective agent with broad spectrum activity against gram-negative and gram-positive aerobic bacteria.
Dosage
- Dosage range for adults: 100-750 mg twice daily
- Dosage for lower and upper urinary tract infections: 250-500 mg twice daily
- Dosage for respiratory tract infections: 250-750 mg twice daily
- Single dose of 250 or 500 mg for gonorrhea
- Duration of treatment: 5-10 days for acute infections
- General duration: 3 days after symptoms disappear
Administration
- Instructions for IV infusion administration
- Fluid level regulation during IV infusion
Interaction
- Avoid concurrent administration with magnesium or aluminum containing antacids
- Avoid concurrent administration with other products containing calcium, iron, or zinc
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Ciprofloxacin or other quinolones

Overdose effects
- May lead to seizures, hallucinations, confusion, abdominal discomfort, renal and hepatic impairment
