Description
- DFX is indicated for the treatment of single infection or mixed infections caused by two or more susceptible organisms.
- Broad-spectrum antibiotic
- Effective against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria
- Rapid and well-absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract
- Half-life of about 3.5 hours
- Excreted in the urine
- Dosage range for adults: 100-750 mg twice daily
- Treatment of urinary, respiratory, and gastrointestinal tract infections
- Administration via IV infusion
- Contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Ciprofloxacin or other quinolones
