Indications
- Treatment of single infections or mixed infections caused by susceptible organisms
- Treatment of infections caused by organisms resistant to other antibiotics

Pharmacology
- Ciprofloxacin is a synthetic quinolone anti-infective agent
- Broad spectrum of activity against gram negative and gram positive bacteria
- Bactericidal action results from interference with DNA gyrase
- Rapid and well absorption from the gastrointestinal tract
- Widely distributed into body tissues and fluids
Dosage
- Dosage range for adults is 100-750 mg twice daily
