Dosage Range

Pharmacology

Interaction

Contraindications

  • Hypersensitivity to Ciprofloxacin or other quinolones

Pregnancy & Lactation

Absorption and Excretion

Impaired Renal Function

  • Adjustment may be necessary in patients with severe renal impairment

Elderly Usage

  • No dosage adjustment necessary despite higher serum levels

Studies

  • No evidence of teratogenicity, impairment of fertility, or impairment of peri/postnatal development in reproduction studies

Pediatric Usage

  • Effective in clinical trials but not a first choice drug
