Indications
- Treatment of single or mixed infections caused by two or more susceptible organisms
- Infections resistant to other antibiotics
- Infections of the urinary, respiratory, and gastrointestinal tracts
- Treatment of gonorrhea, septicaemia, skin and soft tissue infections, and more
Pharmacology
- Synthetic quinolone anti-infective agent
- Broad spectrum of activity
- Bactericidal action from interference with DNA gyrase

- Excretion in the urine
Dosage
- Dosage determined by severity, type of infection, and patient characteristics
- Dosage range for adults: 100-750 mg twice daily
