- Rapid absorption after oral administration
Excretion
- 36% excreted in urine
- 61% excreted in feces

Dosage
- 320 mg once daily for 5 days
- One 320 mg tablet daily for 5 days (mild to moderate severity)
- One 320 mg tablet daily for 7 days (multi-drug resistant strains)
Interaction
- Reduced absorption with aluminium or magnesium containing antacids
- Clinically insignificant interactions with certain medications
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Gemifloxacin and quinolones
- Prior tendon damage with fluoroquinolones
- Not for use in children under 18 years of age
