Indications
- Acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
- Community-acquired pneumonia (of mild to moderate severity)

Dosage & Administration
- 320 mg once daily for 5 days
- 320 mg tablet daily for 5 days (community-acquired pneumonia)
- 320 mg tablet daily for 7 days (multi-drug resistant pneumonia)
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Gemifloxacin and other quinolones
- Previous tendon damage with fluoroquinolones
- Not for use in children under 18 years of age

Precautions & Warnings
- Severe impairment of renal function
- Adequate hydration to prevent concentrated urine and crystalluria
- May cause dizziness
- Tendinitis and tendon ruptures
- QTc interval prolongation
- Caution in patients with epilepsy

- Dose adjustment for renal impairment
- No dose adjustment for hepatic impairment
- No dose adjustment for elderly patients

- Dialysis does not remove sufficiently
