Indications
- Treatment of mild, moderate and severe infections
- Susceptible strains of designated micro-organisms
- Acute maxillary sinusitis
- Acute bacterial exacerbation of chronic bronchitis
- Community-acquired pneumonia
- Uncomplicated & complicated urinary tract infections
- Acute pyelonephritis
- Uncomplicated & complicated skin and soft tissue infections
- Enteric infections
Pharmacology
- Inhibits bacterial topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase
- Required for DNA replication, transcription repair and recombination
- In vitro activity against a wide range of gram-negative and gram-positive microorganisms
Dosage
- 250 mg or 500 mg or 750 mg tablets
- Oral administration every 24 hours
- Can be administered without regard to food

Interaction
