Administration
Should be taken on an empty stomach
Interaction
- Reduction of efficacy of oral contraceptives
- Alteration of INR while on warfarin and phenindione
- Reduction of efficacy of oral typhoid vaccines
- Reduced excretion with probenecid and sulfinpyrazone
- Increased risk of toxicity with probenecid and sulfinpyrazone
- Increased ampicillin-induced skin reactions with allopurinol
- Reduced absorption with chloroquine
- Interference with bactericidal action by bacteriostatic antibacterials

Hypersensitivity to ampicillin and other penicillins

- Intrapleural: Dissolution in water for injection
Storage Conditions
Store between 20-25°C. Reconstituted oral suspension to be stored between 2-8°C and discarded after 14 days
