Description

Synthetic, broad-spectrum, third-generation fluoroquinolone derivative antibacterial agent

Pharmacology

Antibacterial action by inhibiting bacterial topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase, enzymes required for DNA replication, transcription repair, and recombination

Interaction

  • Avoid co-administration with multivalent cations
  • Reduced absorption with antacids, iron, and adsorbents
