Indications
- Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis

Pharmacology
- Sterile topical ophthalmic solution
- Synthetic third generation fluoroquinolone bactericidal antibiotic
- Inhibits bacterial topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase enzymes
Dosage & Administration
- 0.5% eye drop for adults and children 1 year of age and older
- 1.5% eye drop for adults and children 6 years of age and older
- Safety and effectiveness for children below 1 year not established
Interaction
- Elevation of plasma concentrations of theophylline
- Interference with the metabolism of caffeine
- Enhancement of effects of oral anticoagulant warfarin
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to Levofloxacin
- Hypersensitivity to other quinolones
