Indications

Treatment of bacterial conjunctivitis
Treatment of bacterial corneal ulcer
Treatment of blepharitis
Treatment of hordeolum
Treatment of perioperative ocular conditions

Pharmacology

Sterile topical ophthalmic solution
Synthetic broad-spectrum bactericidal antibiotic
Inhibits bacterial topoisomerase IV and DNA gyrase enzymes
Active against Gram-positive ocular pathogens
Active against Gram-negative ocular pathogens

Dosage & Administration

0.5% eye drop for adults and children 1 year or older
1-2 drops every 2 hours for first 2 days
1-2 drops every 4 hours from days 3-7
1.5% eye drop for adults and children 6 years or older
Instill one to two drops every 30 minutes to 2 hours for first 3 days
Instill one to two drops every 1 to 4 hours from day 4 onwards
Not recommended for children under 1 year of age
