Indications
- Bacterial infections
- Conjunctivitis

Pharmacology
- Bacterial gyrase inhibitor
- Effective against gram positive and gram negative bacteria
- Low acute toxicity
- Interferes with bacterial DNA related processes
Dosage
- Instill 2-3 times daily
- Initial frequent application
- Duration: 7 to 9 days
Administration
May be taken with or without food
Interaction
- Avoid ophthalmic preparations containing heavy metals
- Avoid concomitant use with bacteriostatic ophthalmic antibiotics
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to active ingredient or quinolones
- Enhanced development of secondary fungal infections or non-susceptible bacteria
Side Effects
- Slight and transient burning
- Possible photosensitization
