Interaction
- Chelation complexes with aluminium and magnesium cations
- Avoid concomitant use with medications known to increase QTc interval
- No interaction with theophylline or caffeine, warfarin, or cimetidine
- Probenecid does not alter pharmacokinetics
Contraindications
- Hypersensitivity to any ingredient
- Pregnancy and lactation
- Glucose-6-Phosphate Dehydrogenase deficiency
- History of Achilles tendinitis following fluoroquinolone use

- Mild to moderate and transient in nature
- Frequently reported events with recommended dosage
Pregnancy & Lactation
- No adequate and well controlled studies in pregnant women
Precautions & Warnings
- Moderate to severe phototoxic reactions
- Discontinue therapy at first signs of phototoxicity reaction
- Safety and effectiveness not established in certain populations
- Adequate hydration to prevent highly concentrated urine
- Administer with caution in renal insufficiency
- Avoid concomitant prescription of medications known to prolong QTc interval
