Dosage & Administration
- Adults:
- Various dosage for different indications such as Vaginal Candidiasis, Oropharyngeal Candidiasis, Tinea corporis, Kerion, etc.
- Dosage modification for Elderly patients and Renal Impairment
- Dosage for children based on weight
- Use in Specific Population: Dosage adjustment for Elderly patients and patients with Renal Impairment
Interaction
- Interaction with warfarin
- Interaction with oral sulphonyl ureas
- Interaction with hydrochlorothiazide
- Interaction with phenytoin

- Interaction with combined oral contraceptives

Contraindications
Hypersensitivity to Fluconazole or related triazole compounds

Pregnancy & Lactation
Adverse fetal effects seen in animals only at very high dose levels associated with maternal toxicity
Precautions & Warnings
- Abnormalities of hepatic, renal, haematological and other biochemical function tests observed in some patients
- Rare instances of hepatic necrosis
- Rare development of exfoliative cutaneous reactions
- Not recommended for use during lactation
Use in Special Populations
- Elderly: Normal dose should be used if no evidence of renal impairment
- Renal Impairment: Dosage adjustments based on creatinine clearance
Overdose Effects
Supportive and symptomatic treatment recommended, potential for forced volume diuresis and haemodialysis
