Description
Lucan-R is a triazole antifungal agent used for various indications such as Vaginal Candidiasis, Oropharyngeal Candidiasis, Tinea corporis, Oesophageal Candidiasis, and more. It inhibits fungal cytochrome P-450 dependent enzymes responsible for the synthesis of ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane. The dosage and administration vary based on the type of infection and patient age. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to fluconazole or related triazole compounds. Lucan-R may cause gastrointestinal symptoms, and precautions are advised for patients with underlying diseases like AIDS and cancer.
