Mechanism of Action

Indications

  • Treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women
  • Treatment of bone metastases from various cancers

Common Dosage Forms

Typical Dosage

  • 2.5 mg oral tablet once daily
  • 3 mg intravenous injection every 3 months

Pediatric Dosage

  • Not recommended for use in children
