Mechanism of Action
- Inhibits bacterial DNA synthesis by blocking DNA gyrase enzyme
Indications
- Urinary tract infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria

Typical Dosage
- 500 mg every 6 hours
Pediatric Dosage
- 10 mg/kg/day divided into 4 doses
