Pharmacology

Interaction

  • Decreased intragastric acidity affecting absorption of ketoconazole
  • Metabolism via cytochrome P450 impacting diazepam, phenytoin, and warfarin

Contraindications

  • Reversible mental confusion, agitation, depression, and hallucinations
  • Arthritic and myalgic symptoms
  • Varied reports of other side effects like blurred vision, taste disturbance, and increased sweating

Pregnancy & Lactation
