Description

Esoprol 40 mg Capsule is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) indicated for relieving chronic heartburn symptoms, healing erosive esophagitis, maintenance of healing, eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection, treating Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome, acid-related dyspepsia, duodenal and gastric ulcers.

    • Oral dosage form for various conditions such as healing of erosive esophagitis, symptomatic GERD, Helicobacter pylori eradication, Zollinger-Ellison Syndrome, acid-related dyspepsia, duodenal and gastric ulcers
    • IV Injection or IV infusion for GERD with Erosive Esophagitis in adult and pediatric patients, and risk reduction of rebleeding of Gastric or Duodenal Ulcers in adult patients
    • Specific dosages for body weights and age groups
  • Administration:
    • Tablet or capsule: Should be swallowed whole and taken one hour before a meal
    • Oral Suspension: Specific instructions for preparation and administration
    • IV Injection: Preparation of solution and administration guidelines
  • Interaction:
    • Metabolized in the liver by CYP2C19 and CYP3A4
    • Not likely to inhibit CYPs 1A2, 2A6, 2C9, 2D6, 2E1, and 3A4
