Indications
- Treatment of symptoms resulting from the reflux of acid, bile, and pepsin
- Relief of acid regurgitation, heartburn, and indigestion
- Treatment during pregnancy
- Relief of symptoms of laryngopharyngeal reflux
- Relief of symptoms post-gastric surgery
Pharmacology
- Combination of Sodium Alginate and Potassium Bicarbonate
- Formation of gel in the stomach
- Formation of carbon dioxide bubbles
- Physical mode of action
- Lasts up to 4 hours in the stomach
Dosage & Administration
- Dosage for adults and children over 12 years
- Dosage for children 6-12 years
- Dosage for adults and children 12 years and above
- Dosage for children 2-12 years
- Not recommended for children under 2 years
Interaction
- 2-hour interval with other medicinal products
- Precaution with tetracyclines, fluoroquinolones, iron salts, thyroid hormones
- Precaution with chloroquine, bisphosphonates, estramustine
Contraindications
- Contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity
