Pharmacology:

Dosage:
- Oral:
  - 20 mg or 40 mg Once Daily for 4-8 Weeks
  - 20 mg Once Daily for Maintenance of Erosive Esophagitis Healing
- IV injection: 20 mg or 40 mg once daily for adults with GERD
Administration:
- Tablet capsule: Swallowed whole one hour before a meal
- Oral suspension: Mixed with water and taken immediately, or administered through a tube
- IV injection: Preparation with 0.9% Sodium Chloride, administered over at least 3 minutes
Interaction:
- Metabolism: Extensively metabolized by CYP2C19 and CYP3A4
- Inhibition: Potential interference with other drugs metabolized by CYP2C19
