Mode of Action

Bactericidal activity against Gram-positive & Gram-negative microorganisms

Pharmacokinetic Properties

Peak serum levels one hour after oral administration

Dosage for Adults

  • 625 mg Tablet every 12 hours
  • 375 mg Tablet every 8 hours
  • 1 gm Tablet every 12 hours
  • 1 gm Injection every 8 hours

Dosage for Children

Varies by age and type of infection

Interaction

  • Prolongation of bleeding time

Contraindications

  • Penicillin hypersensitivity
