Indications

• Treatment of acid reflux
• Relief from acid regurgitation
• Alleviation of heartburn
• Management of indigestion
• Relief from symptoms after gastric surgery
• Treatment for hiatus hernia
• Alleviation of symptoms during pregnancy
• Relief from symptoms of laryngopharyngeal reflux
• Management of hoarseness and voice disorders
• Alleviation of sore throats and cough

Pharmacology

• Combination of Sodium Alginate and Potassium Bicarbonate
• Formation of gel in stomach
• Formation of carbon dioxide bubbles
• Creation of raft to prevent acid reflux
• Physical mode of action
• Raft lasts up to 4 hours

Dosage & Administration

• Dosage for adults and children over 12 years
• Dosage for children 6-12 years
• Dosage for adults and children 12 years and above for suspension
• Dosage for children 2-12 years for suspension
• Use not recommended under 2 years of age
• No dose modifications for elderly
• Caution for highly restricted salt diet in renal insufficiency
