Indications
- Skin and soft tissue infections

Pharmacology
- Active against Gram-positive organisms
- Little activity against Gram-negative bacilli
- Inhibits formation of bacteria cell wall
- Bactericidal antibiotic
- Useful against penicillinase-producing staphylococci
Dosage
- Oral Administration: Adult: 250 mg four times daily, may be doubled in severe infections
- Parenteral Administration: 250 mg-1 g four times daily for adults, doses may be doubled in severe infections
Administration
Oral doses should be administered 1 hour before a meal
Interaction
Concurrent use may result in increased level of Clox-F in blood for a prolonged period
Contraindications
Contraindicated in penicillin hypersensitive patients
