Pharmacology

Active against Gram-positive organisms
Inhibits formation of bacteria cell wall
Bactericidal
Resistance to hydrolysis by penicillinase
Gastric acid stability
Steric hindrance induced by the acyl side chain

Dosage

Oral administration
Parenteral administration
Intramuscular Injection
Intravenous Injection
Doses may be doubled in severe infections

Administration

Oral doses should be administered 1 hour before meal

Interaction

Concurrent use may result in increased level of Flucillin in blood

Contraindications

Contraindicated in penicillin hypersensitive patients
