Indications
- Treatment of skin and soft tissue infections

Pharmacology
- Active against Gram-positive organisms
- Little activity against Gram-negative bacilli
- Bactericidal antibiotic
- Inhibits bacterial cell wall formation
- Resistance to penicillinase
- Gastric acid stability
- Inhibits peptidoglycan synthesis
- Weakens bacterial cell wall
- Resists action of bacterial penicillinase
Dosage
- Oral administration for adults: 250 mg four times daily
- Oral administration for severe infections: double the dosage
- Parenteral administration for adults: 250 mg-1 g four times daily
- Parenteral administration for severe infections: double the dosage
- Dosage for children (2-10 years): half of adult dose
- Dosage for children under 2 years: quarter of adult dose
Administration
Oral doses should be administered 1 hour before a meal
Interaction
Concurrent use may result in increased level of Orgaflu in blood
Contraindications
Contraindicated in penicillin hypersensitive patients

- Use with caution in patients with hepatic dysfunction
- Caution in the treatment of patients with an allergic diathesis
Use in Special Populations
Consider dose reduction in severe renal failure (creatinine clearance <10ml/min)
